ABOUT Us
We are a group of friends who met through our mutual love of Baldur’s Gate 3. Passionate about creating, we consist of artists, writers, virtual photographers, and 3D artists. Even though we all have different backgrounds, we love to discuss the many ideas we have about what the home lives of our favorite companions might be like.The idea for this zine is to have fun being creative and to not worry about perfection. We are not looking for flawless writers or artists. The creatives we wish to find are those individuals who also enjoy developing fulfilling lives for the characters, and like to share their ideas with others. We are inviting all artists, writers, and other creators to apply even those who have no prior fanzine experience.Love & Marriage will be a completely free fanzine. No money will be collected, nor will any of the mods or creators be compensated.
General Zine Guidelines
Must be 18 or over to apply
Use of AI is strictly prohibited. Any use of AI will mean immediate dismissal from the zine.
You must have a Discord or be willing to have a Discord in order to participate.
Please ensure that all links that are sent in for application consideration are set either to public or able to be viewed through the link provided.
Final work for the zine must fall into a category of Domesticity: Marriage, Home Life, Family Planning, Extending Generations, Pets, or Pregnancy. There will be a SFW and NSFW section.
After acceptance, your idea will need to be submitted for approval in order to make sure that it complies with the zine guidelines prior to start.
There will be three check-ins to ensure that progress is being made on your piece prior to the final date of submission.
Artist Guidelines
All general guidelines apply
Final piece must be 300 DPI - resolution
The final art piece must be provided in JPEG or PNG format
Final size will be announced prior to start of work
At least 3 samples must be sent in with applications, with at least 1 fully rendered and completed piece with a background.
Writer Guidelines
All general guidelines apply
The final piece will be between 1K-3K. Final decision on word count will be announced prior to commencement of zine start.
Final piece must include a title, short summary, and content warnings if applicable.
At least 3 writing samples of at least 1K words must be submitted with application with at least one of these pieces being a finished piece. Other samples can be excerpts from larger pieces.
Writing samples will be accepted as links only. Acceptable links include: Google Docs, AO3, Tumblr, Box, or any other doc hosting website. Please do not copy and paste your work into the application.
Please include any content warnings along with your samples.
Other Guidelines
VP, 3D rendering, Cosplay, etc

The final photos must be provided in JPEG or PNG format.
Final size will be announced prior to start of work.
At least 3 high quality samples of your work must be submitted, with at least 1 depicting a complete scene.
What is considered domestic?
We are considering art and stories that have to do with marriage, home life, pregnancy, children, and pets as domestic. If you have an idea that you are unsure whether it falls under domestic, please ask.
Will pregnancy be included in the zine?
Yes, but it will be in a separate section so that those that do not wish to see that section will not need to encounter it.

Is this a SFW or NSFW zine?
There will be SFW and NSFW sections.
Can we create for Ascended Astarion?
Absolutely! Any ending for the characters are accepted.
What characters can I create for?
Any character that is from the Baldur’s Gate 3 game will be accepted! This includes Tavs and Durges, and all NPCs no matter how small the role they had.
Are OC x OC and OC x character ships accepted?
Yes they are! Any ship goes as long as both characters come from Baldur’s Gate 3.
Will there be any money collected?
No, the zine will be completely free.
Will the zine be physical or digital?
Since it is a free zine, we are only offering it in digital format.
Will I be compensated for my contribution?
No, all participation is completely voluntary. You will not receive any money for your piece. However, you will be allowed to post your piece to your socials after the zine has been published.
How can I apply for the zine?
Applications are under “Applications” of our Carrd. Please submit the appropriate application for the type of spot you would like.
Can I apply for multiple mediums (artist, writer, etc)?
Yes, however you will be accepted in only one spot. Please include in the application which application is your first choice, second choice, etc. under the “other” section at the very end of the application.
